MINUTES OF THE FEBRUARY 18, 2010 GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

GENERAL

 

Officers attending: Ed Bailiff, Fred Elliott, Art Newland, and James Newsome. 21 members and 1 guest attended. The minutes of the January 2010 meeting were accepted.

 
REPORTS

 

·         Art Newland - Treasurer: Reported the financial status of FPM.

 

·         Ed Bailiff – President: Reported on the Board of Director’s meeting of February 3, 2010.

 

·         Runway alignment will remain as it is. No realignment will be necessary

·         The weather shelter, frequency control board and wind sock will be relocated to the center of the pit area

·         The club will not be purchasing a second CD at this time

·         The club dues structure will remain the same as it is

·         The BOD approved the list of  scheduled events shown below

 

BUSINESS ITEMS

 

  • James Newsome –Director: Relocating the weather shelter will require more volunteers than usual on field maintenance day. The shelter will have to be “lifted” to its new location

 

  • Jerry Holcomb: On behalf of Jim Riggle, Jerry requested the club consider hosting a Golden Age Air Show on May 2, 2010, the day after the Celebration of Silent Flight. Jerry will be submitting formal requests for both events. The BOD will decide on the Golden Age Air Show event

 

  • Art Newland – Treasurer: Will be setting up a web site for the War Birds over Washougal event
